The forums were down for 2 days. Interserver, our provider, wasn't able to fix the problem. Their final solution was to upgrade our service to handle the load. :evil:

Update failed, that was a mess.
First I had a bad software download and then I found that the php version was not updated for the forums. Then I got database errors when trying to install the update.

The original forum software has been restored and php version has been set back to the old version ...

I just now(Jan 11 2025) updated the forums server scripting language to the latest version.

The hosting provider was able to resolve the issue. So no worries.

We are experiencing problems with the forum software administration. I'm currently backing up the website before making attempts to fix the problem.

One change was made to the forums navigation.
The Home icon will now link to the website index instead of the forums index.

The update is complete and everything went smoothly. Report any problems found here in this topic thread.

Backup is complete. The install process starts now.
The new software will be copied and when it gets to a certain point the forums will be locked until the update is complete.
