This is just a temporary "heads up" post about the Workspace Side trueSpace exporter for the Indigo renderer. Clintonman announced yesterday at the Caligari forum that he has updated it so that it now works with the latest version of the commercial renderer (version 2.0.12). In addition, it is still compatible with earlier 1.x versions going back to 1.0.9.
You can download clintonman's exporter free from his post at the Caligari forum. (Expect a future post in this forum direct from clintonman with the download also.) The exporter is primarily a script but it also uses a plugin to read D3D materials.
Indigo is a commercial renderer that costs 295 Euros---about $422 U.S. dollars at today's (22-Aug-09) exchange rate (see exhangerate.com for a current amount). According to the Indigo website, this is half price and is only available for a limited time.
Tip: Indigo used to make older versions of their renderer available for free and, even though they no longer advertise it, you can still find links to the older 1.x renderers in their forums. For example, this link will take you to a post that provides links for you to download Indigo 1.1.18 for free. We don't know how long these links will work so you might want to get it soon while you can.
Thanks clintonman for keeping the Indigo renderer a viable option for trueSpace users!!!!
Best regards, First Light
