err.. sorry, maybe i do not understand the question.. but actually is a bit confusing.
The question should be if truespace must be the ONLY software used to enter on a smc challenge etc.. (Yes or No)
Or something like that (using good english hehehe)

Umm... I must agree with Prodigy..
The poll is a leading question..
For the record I would like both chalenges to remain TrueSpace only.. This is after all a TrueSpace comunity.. All are welkome but TrueSpace is the backbone and main thrust.

The poll's statements aren't completely clear.
Since most folks are now going to include other software or migrate to other software I'll vote for all 3D software ok in each contest. If there are too many contests then there will be few participants in each.
Maybe having a set of contests just for TS and an all software set might be something people would want.

That's how I had the poll set up theuns.....Either we incorporate other Modeling Programs into the SMC and MMC...OR...We start a NEW and Separate Contest for ALL Modeling Programs.
My view point has always been to keep the SMC and MMC as is...and start a separate Contest for Others.

understood, we can do another poll and advertise it for a while so that the maximum people can join in, but my personal feeling is that it as trueSapce COMMUNITY tradition, started by users and run by users... the fact that Caligari used the results for marketing or that Caligari is no more has nothing to do with it... so I strongly feel that we should keep it tS, the new contests can mimic it exactly if we want, even the same themes if needed, but keep it seperate...
And I once more reitterate, trueSpace is NOT dead or gone or ended as was mentioned in the other related thread! :(

Regardless to what is decided I will be using Truespace
However nostalgia isn't what it used to be, and I feel if you close the door to the SMC and MMC to truespace only, no one apart from the usual faces will enter.. do you really want to a 3 or 4 horse race
For this place to work some slack needs to be cut and the door needs to be open to who ever wants to enter
I dunno but it almost seem that there's doubts that TS could be competitive against other software, just look at what Marcel does in TS.
