Thanks spacekdet, but you show the 6.5 interface not 6.6 interface,In TS 6.6 you have only "Glue as Slibing" available, in the helper you can find "Glue as Child" but match nothing if you search the icon. I use TS full.

From what i remember tS6.6 should still have Glue as Child. It`s TS 7.6 Modelside that does not have Glue as Child anymore. It was removed there because it didn´t play together with Workspace.

Thanks Tiles for your explanation, i have another question, Mirror tools in TS 6.6 have only 2 icons but in TS 6.5 you have 6 icons, why?

TS 7.6 model side. Left click and hold this icon to see a flyout with two glue methods. You can also group by drag and drop in the scene editor.

Now that is interesting. I don`t have glue as child in the Modelside UI. Also not in the Icon finder. But have it listed in the Icon helper. Here without icon though. A blank field instead.

As told. I could swear that i have read something in the beta forums about glue as child, and why it is missing. But maybe i am also totally wrong. It`s been a while :)

Not sure how you can tell from a screenshot, but that is indeed 6.6 interface.

Proof is in the pudding, or at least in the 'About' panel.

Anyway, glad you got it figured out. Sort of.

Tiles, its not in the ts7 toolbars. I think it was in the guide to good modeling why it was removed. You might remember many of us wanted the toolbars to act the old way so Roman brought them back with the glue as child tool. I think you could retreive it with a configuration refresh.

I had the same Problem some weeks ago. After over a year working with 7.61 modelside (6.6.) Glue as child vanished with no chance to get it again till I reinstalled TS completly... :-/

I've always thought the glue tools were rather confusing as it's far easier just to link objects in the scene editor itself.

Maybe "glue as child" with new name don't have this problem, it's because it's bad child

The glue icons are not really necessary anyways as the easiest way to glue objects together is directly possible via the Scene Editor itself. I always found the glue tools a bit awkward myself. The operation is basically drag and drop a part from object to underneath another. You can also unglue a part by right clicking it. You can also unglue everything by using the split hierarchy icon as well. Greetings to all BTW. Leroy.

Just found this thing today, the glue as child is not explain in the manual of trueSpace 7.6 in the "chapter 4 modeling", the one with the new icons in the modelside, but it explain in the "chapter 11 utilities group" of truespace 6 manual, the one with the old icons.
