Windows XP still seems to be supported by MS.
I'm still receiving updates for it and Truespace 6, 7.61 and Beta 8 runs pretty stable for me. I just wish that MS would resume development on Truespace again. I think their lossing out on some nice profits by keeping TS on a shelf. It has a lot of potential as a modeling tool for their other software products too. I hope that Roman gets put on their software development team and advocates the potential usefulness of Truespace. I know I've got my fingers crossed that it becomes a reality.

Unfortunately, that's not going to happen.
Caligari was purchased for the engineering talent and their experience, not the core trueSpace software.
As I understand, XP is supported through November 2014. After that, updates will cease.

I wonder if any of the original Caligari people are active on this forum? It sure would help this forum grow and prosper and offer hope that Truespace 7.61 stay's around for a very long time.

it would be nice if someone from original developers could help us to keep this thing runing...
i tried to contact roman thru linkedin, but no response... if somebody has any contact to ppl from Caligari dev. team, maybe you could try to convince them to come among us.

That would be so cool. On a Battlezone forum that I also post on has two of the original Pandemic developers creating new public beta's of the game. They work for other companies now, but seem motivated to keep BZII alive. I just wish the modeling format the game uses could be updated to modeling format from this century. The original XSI format was version 1 circa 1998. I remind them from time to time about this, but it seems it just ain't a gonna happen.bitkar wrote:it would be nice if someone from original developers could help us to keep this thing runing...
