"tP Desk" - a free immersive interactive desktop scene

This is one download and thread everyone here should read while it remains available on the Caligari forum. I recommend downloading the files there in that thread and all the pages to that thread too for duture reference, because we will all be creating things like this here very soon.

Please note that the scripts used in the objects in the downloadable tP Desk scene may need tweaking to get them to work in the new version of truePlay2.0B1. They will be tested and re-written as needed/if needed soon.

Still, you should grab these thread pages and the downloads anyway.

"tP Desk" shows you an example of how you can create a trueSpace scene, load it up in truePlay, and while walking around inside it, decorating it as you see fit, you can add links to copies of the scripted objects inside it or design your own using the scripts in it, and launch windows programs from inside your scene, travel to other scenes on your own hard drive from inside it, or travel from it to any shared space location you designate in the pre-written scripts it contains. It also contains tutorials in each script, viewable via your Link Editor!

The thread above and it's subject matter was expanded on in another forum thread which I recommend also downloading:

this is just a picture, I will upload the model sometime after we all start developing interactive Windows Desktop Scenes for use with truePlay2.0B1

This is a variation on the concept above, demonstrating that a desktop launcher can simply be any object you create for the purpose, and it can be simply added to any scene you have to make that scene a desktop launch program for Windows.
