Spectre Gunship

Post by Steve »

So apparently this machine is what you get when you crash a transport sideways through a munitions factory. Started on this model back before Call of Duty made it 'cool' and never got aroudn to...well...properly starting it

Main focus on this will probably be the textures, and boy they'll probably take a while, so let's get started shall we? Here's the model

Very good job. It should really be interesting to see the texturing process. I'm looking forward to it.

Awesome modeling Steve!

I do see a possible problem next to the windows. A couple messed up
polys perhaps?
Cool subject matter and great work so far.

Awesome. I'm sure the textures will be too.

Steinie's got the eagle eye for those messed up details.

Arrghh...exactly 100 pageviews later and now the tenth reply I'm finally here, sorry fellas, I promise I'll get back to this plane....in between the many other tasks I've got to do with the many other planes...

Right, in order!

Thanks lads, I'd LIKE to actually do a bit more to the model before texturing, the more I can scrape by with materials and high powered modelling the less of a headache it'll be for me
(I'm quite a nasty example to set for any soul looking to start 3D modelling I think)

Well spotted, I was hoping to float that past you all without you noticing, the way I've done the windows is to have to add points right by each corner to sharpen the sides up, I must have moved the window out of line

According to one lad I know who's had a go in them they're apparently bad at flying and they're not even fun to fall out of...which...fair enough something's gone wrong if you're falling out of it, I'd follow the pilot when he decides to do that

Very excellent model it must of taken you forever to add that level of detail. :bananahi:

Looking spiff!

Hope there are many parts to it as that will make texturing easier - well, less mind numbing. :bananadrum:
