Hi all,
I realize this may be my GPU card ( 8800 GTX), but I was wondering is there a possible known bug in TS7.6B8, where trying to undo a SDS level causing a crash. Im trying to make some terrain from a displacement map, and while I had created several levels and a very tight mesh therefore, I've been able to do this in other 3d apps and consistently get no crash.
Thanks anyone for your help.

Re: crash on attempted UNDO
I had this issue with Displacement Mesh before. It is best to freeze your mesh using Clinton's Freeze script before subdivision, then run the displacement. This will prevent future errors in the SDS and displacement, as sometimes the algorithm for the displacement mesh goes corrupt, not sure where or how, just a theory.
Another is if you are having SD problems, Clinton also made a Fix Bad Geometry script which fixes these errors in the SDS.
This will help with the displacement.
Another tip is to add the displacement to a frozen SDS mesh BEFORE doing the displacement, it is less memory and graphics intensive.
SDS is quite heavy on TS especially with Displacement. So freezing the mesh often helps when you're happy with the changes.

Re: crash on attempted UNDO
All good points, all I can suggest is instead of undo, use 'Remove SDS'.
This effectively removes the last level of smoothness added by the previous 'Add SDS' operation.
