tS 6.6 on XP Pro 64 bit?
Any issues I should know about running tS 6.6 on a 64 bit XP Pro system? This is a for a potential workstation change at work, Vista and Win7 are not options there.

Re: tS 6.6 on XP Pro 64 bit?
I'm using tS7.6 (modeler side) on XP Pro 64 since several years.
The only issue noticed is about the scene/object thumb tool : you can't get the tS files thumbs in Windows' Explorer. It works from trueSpace's load/save dialogue boxes though since tS is a 32 bits app.
Also Libor Stolc's QuickDraw2D tool doesn't work because it is based on a 32 bits library.
No other problems to report.

7.6 (modeler side) is pretty much 6.6, right?

Re: tS 6.6 on XP Pro 64 bit?
7.6 model side is TS6.6 + HDRI + Vray (option for those who have it).
Also the icon are more beautifull than 6.6. No problem to read TS6.6 scenes. Keep 6.6 to load older scene (TS 4 or 5). If you use nurbs, don't forget to put the bridge off because TS workspace can crash with this feature. If you use only the model side, keep alway the bridge off. It is really better to work and the scene saved are smaller. also you win ram.
If you want to use the model side, TS7.6 is better than TS 7.61 (a lot of problem with this version : when you save a scene, some setting are lost)
the benefit of HDRI is a very good reason to change.

Re: tS 6.6 on XP Pro 64 bit?
I'm looking at changing my work desktop, to 64 bit. Most of my models are in tS, which I haul into 3DS Max or SketchUp, via Polytrans. It is the issue of models in a legacy format, still being useful and accessable. I'd rather not have to start from "ground zero", and have to remodel the entire space station (even though the pay is the same).

tS 7.61 model side is broke in many ways. (Too Bad). My limit
was discovering that selecting points (in a bounding box) WILL NOT
SELECT ALL THE POINTS !!! When trying to move the highlighted
points several allways stay put. Also sky color does not reflect,
buttons don't always show when they are on// ect...
But the WorkSpace side works.......

I have used this setup for several years and it works fine.
