Can somebody post an unopened/unmodified Privs.xls file for me here?
I have successfully created a Shared Space Server and able to access it from another PC. Yay!
However I am not able to login when I enable Authorize and trueServe crashes. (See screen capture)
I've entered /trueServe761B8/Privs.xls in the PrivlegesServer attribute.
I am using Microsoft Works to edit the Privs.xls and saving as an Excel 97-2003 (*.xls)
Note: I am logging into myspace from trueSpace761 on the same PC that has trueServe761 running and trueServe761 crashes.

Re: trueServe761B8 - Privs.xls
Hi trueBlue , are you entering the path like this X:\trueServe761B8\Privs.xls where X is the drive letter.
note the slashes are \ and not / as in your post.
The other thing is I have seen the server crash sometimes if the xls file is edited and updated when the server is still running when I was remotely managing servers through Remote desktop , however that doesnt seem to happen here on my machine .
@ the untouched xls , I would have to install to a new machine to obtain one , I dont know if Froo has a currently untouched one , ..
give me 10 mins or so to install on a machine then will post , if no-one else has done so.

Re: trueServe761B8 - Privs.xls
The manual shows forward slashes /trueServe761B8/Privs.xls
When I enter C:\trueServe761B8\Privs.xls
and several other combinations I get a Bad loggin name or password error.
Thanks for your help!

Re: trueServe761B8 - Privs.xls
hee thats bizzare , its doesnt seem to care whether the slashes are back or forward , I usually copy my path using win explorer title address bar thats why my slashes are the other way round from the manual, vladimir must have allowed the character to be allowed for both slashes to mean the same..
heres a untouched privs.xls
bad login could mean that excel is still in memory or that the login is actually bad..

Re: trueServe761B8 - Privs.xls
Thanks Paul,
Well I confirmed that editing the original Privs.xls in Microsoft Works causes problems with the file. errrrr!
Looks like I am stuck with only 3 names and 3 Avatars.
Hey noko... Does Avatar1 look familiar?

Re: trueServe761B8 - Privs.xls
send me your edited file and I will resave it in MS home office version and send it back to you , it will work ok then, .I will try to find out why other versions of apps dont save it correct but I think its probably because its made in a newer version of xls that it holds some " newer information " in the formatting of the tables , and when its opened and resaved the older versions of xls dont know it and strip the info out (usually seems to strip out 10kb) , or in the case of open office , it actually bloats the xls to immense size in kb .
if you dont have my email , it begins with kpas*****@ then send me a pm and I will send it to you.
