Fixation Constraint Helpers

Post by clintonman »

I made a script that makes it easier to precisely position the physics fixation points. It works by taking the existing fixation points and creating scene objects that correspond to the same positions. You move the objects then press a button to transfer their positions to the fixation constraints. You can get it here:

Pictures show truespace fixation, helper objects, helpers in position using snapping panel(Object/Vertex Snapping script available on the same page)

Edit: Found out that the blue dot for fixation points is the center of gravity and that it's supposed to default to the pivot location, but it doesn't. So I replaced the fixation constraint with a plain old constraint helper that includes the COG. The COG is represented by a small cube and the fixation points by spheres. I also made a button installer for the script since it was giving a strange error when run from the scene.
