On the positive side is the pretty low asking price and update price. Also on the positive side is that thing drives the competition !
Quite frankly I like daz studio product most of all from daz since I can export pretty well with collada from there including morphs.
What i dislike about it is the material editor it dates back to when both Poser and Bryce were together under Kai Krause.
I simply dont like it ! It has not become easier and is pretty gimmicky. I also dislike that same as workspace side from Truespace it doesnt
have a stack view. If youve got hundreds of elements in a scene and that can happen pretty fast you loose the oversight of things.
The import of daz studio content and animation is very cool though.

No brainer for me, just upgraded from 6.3 for £4.49. Worth it for the tree export alone especially as objects can be exported into .cob format. Saves me loads of time getting trees etc. for my scene. Apparently there is a 'hidden' particle simulator in there as well!!

Yeah you can't beat Bryce for its price. It does have some nice features. I could upgrade, but my version 6 is an upgrade, and to be honest I am tired of having to load all the cd's. So I am gonna drop 50 and just get the full pro version.

Bryce is well worth what daz is asking. Vue may be at the top of the heap right now but it was not always the case. Bryce used to be number one. Who knows with enough effort from daz it could make a good fight.

Yep, well worth the cheap bucks they are asking for Bryce. It makes an excellent companion application.

It is so COB format compliant, that I can import it into Carrara as a COB file format(see quick render from Carrara).

Terrains and plants both, export just fine with textures, may have to do them separately for best effects though.

A plus, is that because Bryce can make some excellent atmospherics, you can export the background as a - er well background and it also exports HDR files which is quite handy.

Of course, I still have no disciplined art style and there is just no accounting for my tastes in assembling an image. :)
