Battlezone II Modeling Tutorials using Truespace.

Post by BNG »

I've started to post 3d model making tutorials specific to Combat Commander. The tutorials are based around using Truespace to created game models, props, and other 3d structures used in the BZII Map Editor. I currently use the DirectX exporter in TS and Gamespace to export 3d models for later conversion to BZII XSI via a conversion utility called 3d Exploration 1.5.5. The tutorials use some pretty outdated modeling tools, so they are probably not useful for modelers wanting to make models for the current version of Softimage XSI as the format has changed drastically from the outdated XSI version that BZII uses. The tutorials for the most part are adaptable for use with other 3d modeling packages. Topics covered include, model creation, basic texturing, and basic keyframe animation for making BZII units like Turrets, Walkers, Scouts, Tanks, and other BZII structures.

Question? Why did the tutorial section of this forum get locked? :?:

I'm not sure why the tutorial section would be locked.
Send me a private email on what you would like.

Unlocking the tutorial section would certainly help as no one can add new content with it locked.
