Hi
Here is screen-capture of my WIP drone, based on the tentacled drones from Earthfall (by Mark Walden). This image shows the Partly completed drone next to the concept drawing I did just after reading book.
All Comments And Suggestions Are Very Welcome.
Thanks very much.

Looking good!
Now you just add that dramatic green atmosphere featured on the cover of the book.
Perhaps you can 'bone the tentacles' so they are doing whatever it is that they do?

Thanks.
And I intend to bone/rig this model if possible; it will be my first!

Looking forward to seeing more! I love the tendrils you'll be having. I hope you document your rigging experience in Blender... I have always been curious, but never actually used it.

I will try and document as much as possible, but, as I have never rigged in Blender either, don't expect it to be any use.

Re: Earthfall Drone WIP
apology's for the long delay, but I have been otherwise occupied recently.
Anyway here is the next update of my drone model. As you can see, modelling is now complete leaving only texturing and rigging (the hard parts) still to come.

Looking great! I love UV'ing in Blender, it is quite easy once you get the hang of it, just cut a lot, like bits of cloth. Keep it up!
