Looks....

Post by RAYMAN »

I´ve posted something like this a few months ago..
But if you´ve got a render engine it doesnt have to have a specific look..
you have options to change the look of the renders dramatically...
In the thread i posted some time ago i showed that you can use actions inside Photoshop to get a certain new look
of your images...
today a few comapnies are focussing on making new pushbutton solutions for I phones and android phones
to get you a whole new variety of looks...
One of these is Nevercenters camera bag 2..
Nevercenter is the company behind Silo modeling application that many of you will propbably know..
Camerabag 2 is still in beta and isnt expensive... i think 19 $ or something..
You have full control over the picture looks.....
Cool thing is you dont have to be an photoshop or Gimp expert.. and its very simple..
You should be able to aply that to film and animations too since its got a batch function and
you can run the effect on whole folders of picture sequences....
Thes amples you see here are from a single vue render but it works with any render or picture also from Lightworks or Vray..

You can also do this through a node based compositing software for animations right? Like Nuke or Autodesk's Composite?

Well yes you could do that through any photoediting tool and also tools like After effects.. but that not with the press of a button and
with flipping through an album like menu where you can see the results instantly.....

Yeah, you're right there! I'll check the software out, looks like fun. =)
I guess my inquiry involved postprocessing for animation or film. Does the program do sequence imagery or video post processing??

Yeah it does batch processing so you should be able to do a whole sequence..
The beta is free and working for some time so its realy fun.... and you can make your own presets
that you can view on your pictures in a contact sheet..
