Hi I have a problem with the UV image overlappind away from the model
see here where the black is showing..
http://www.topdeckpublications.co.uk/adverts/WKD.wmv
I am assuming that I need to use a different format rather than the current .jpg one? perhaps, is there a way to add a transparency colour or something??
Many thanks to anyone who can advise
cheers

Re: UV image bug
Hi Yamabushi,
First Welcome Aboard
Weird artifact.. i can imagine few things that can be make such problem..
1) double side faces.. since you are using a plane (at least it looks like)
2) Problem with alpha and UV
3) Triangulation, try to triangulate your object..
I cant imagine just 1 solution, maybe you should share the object to see in detail..

Re: UV image bug
Hi Prodigy thanks for the quick reply
yes it is a .ai file then saved as a .cob with a plane UV
I am not using a transparent alpha channel....i am hoping maybe this is possible?? should it be a transparent.gif??
thanks i will try to triangulate it and stuff and see if that works?

Re: UV image bug
Ok i have tried to triangulate or quad divide the object and funily enough it causes the model to 'fill in' across the gap exactly the same as the black area in my animation!! so we're getting somewhere
I dont want to re-model it....hoping a transparency might get rid of the exess texture??
do animated gifs work or what format??

Re: UV image bug
Yama, i assumeing you are wokring on Model side, so ..
First Truespace has not gif support, but Tga and png has alpha support so you must do that on that file formats..
also modelside has avi support so you should do a color avi for the texture and another B&W for the alpha channel, that should do the trick too..
But i think must be some way to fix that problem..without do all that work again..
