.B3D exporter

Post by simmsman4 »

I'm looking for a .B3D exporter for Truespace 7.61

Pretty sure there is currently nothing out there, but never know who might have or already created one.

Normaly I export out of .X or DAE or OBJ into another program which in return can export or import b3d (fragmotion)
Also at times I've just exported my model into GameSpace then used that exporter.. But it only export with jpg files.. kind of a pain because I need PNG/TGA.. (Game engine reasons)

Although, I can work around this.. It's still a pain because I'm too faithful with truespace and don't really want to take the time in another 3d program.

So clean and simple is the key for me.. create/work/export/import through Truespace. Although this can't always be the case cutting down the pipeline helps

Anyways, if you know of a B3d export/import plug-in for TS7.61 or think you could build one.. Please let me know..

Thanks again.. and great site for keeping TS alive!

By the way not sure if this link will help anyone..but it's a python script import/export with blender

I have this problem as well - if I export to gamespace then save as b3d (blitz), the exporter makes a jpeg of the texture that is only 256x256, so not only do you get a compressed texture (which often looks dim when rendered in a 3d engine) but it's WAY to small for most texture maps.

Does anybody know of a good way to get from truespace to b3d? I've been exporting to 3ds to get around it, but then there is a thing where it only likes texture names in the old DOS style - weird.
