I still using a Agp port with my 6600vtd256mb and works nicely!
I tested also a 9500 and the performances is bigger on big scenes..
But you will see a huge difference from your internal vga that's for sure

Re: Best Graphics Card CustxBenefit
Last I checked the AMD/ATI Radeon 4850 or 4770 is probably the best performance for the price.
You can find some good articles about price and performance for video cards here:

Re: Best Graphics Card CustxBenefit
Seems to be good, but where I live 9500 is cheaper and equal or better than R3870. Anyway thanks very much for that link
Just see that this Radeon are GDDR4 and GDDR5 so I'll think... is +/- 30 dollars of difference between the 9500 and the 3870, but first I need see if my mother board supports DDR4 or 5 (I think don't)
Thanks, maybe in the future when I buy a new PC with MB that support DDR4 or 5 I buy

Video ram on a dedicated card is unrelated to motherboard ram. What you have to make sure is that your motherboard has a slot that the card can fit in: AGP, PCI, PCI-E, etc. All the current cards are PCI-E.
