Hello everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been able to contribute on our new forum since we moved off of Caligari's old servers, but I'm afraid I have a request to make.
When we all heard that Caligari's site was going to be taken down, I, like many of you I hope, grabbed copies of everything I could for safe keeping and personal benefit, and had archived it away for the day that I would be able to take advantage of it all. Well, in the years since, I have finished high school, spent 5 years in college, and I finally have the time to put toward actually watching my 150 (or so) hours of 3D training courses... and yesterday I reached the HDRI Master Course from my Caligari archive only to realize that I am missing the video archive. I have the syllabus and the resources, and even a copy of the original web page, but I am missing the "HDRIAllCourses.rar" file...
If this were simply a matter of not being able to learn the course, I wouldn't be so bothered by it, but I have become rather proud of the fact that I have a generally complete collection of trueSpace history, with the sudden exception of this archive.
Is there anyone in our community who has the archive, or even just the video files contained therein?
I appreciate any help anyone can provide, and I'd be happy to reciprocate if anyone finds they're missing a piece too...
Thanks in advance!

In the form of individual chapters
My missing piece is the Intro to Widgets course found in the fundamentals course section.

Glad Clinton could point you in the right direction!
And 5 years? Has it been that long since Caligari closed its doors? Dang! '5 years of college' really puts it into perspective doesn't it? Wow.

Re: Missing HDRI Master Course Files
Clinton, that's remarkable work, at first glance I thought you sent me a link to an image of the original page. You may have just changed the links around to support hosting the page on your own sever, but it goes a long way to keeping the image of our community alive.
Thank you! The videos will allow me to finally (re)complete my collection so that I can burn it all off to disk and not worry about loosing it all someday in a drive failure.
Yes, I am happy to return the favor, I do have the Intro to Widgets course archive, syllabus archive, resources archive, and a copy of the original html and supporting images, which I see you don't currently have live on your server. Glad I can contribute!
I have it all zipped up at 193 MB, but I am not certain the forum severs can handle an upload of that size, do you have a preference of how I should send it to you?
@Draise
Thank you! It feels rather nice to be back in the middle of all things tS again. As for seeing my rise through 3D, that may or may not happen... For 12 years, my problem has always been that my immense technical expertise has always far outweighed my lack of artistic initiative... That's how I taught myself everything I know about 3D from the age of 12ish and opening tS3 for the first time and clicking every button to see what they all did and how to make an image, but at 24 I'll sit down and cannot make even a simple everyday object despite being able to explain every control and technique to an artist of how to do so...
Any advice? lol
@Froo
Yes, it's sad and remarkable all at the same time... trueSpace really is quite dated by now, and yet, still an exceptionally capable tool when used to it's fullest extent... I find that although I rarely use it for rendering anything anymore, due to my lack of owning the V-ray plugin, I still rely on it heavily for modelling anything I try to make, and export out to newer programs only when necessary... Right now, I cannot actually see myself giving up tS in my workflow until I run out of computers to run it on, and as it still runs in Win8 and, so far, Win10, I think tS will cease to be useful before I run out of PCs that support it... Who knows... maybe development really will continue someday...

Nope, no preference. Do you have an ftp client? If so I can have you upload it to my server. Also if you can email that size I can receive it. Google drive is also an option.StewMaster44 wrote:...

Anyone have any suggestions for this?

Re: Missing HDRI Master Course Files
Clinton, as we still haven't heard from any other members, I am just going to FTP it to you, as I assume that is less invasive to your privacy than Drive would be.
Send me a PM with the login credentials, and I'll send it to you as soon as I hear back from you!

Sounds good. I'm having some internet problems. When that's clear I'll get the ftp info to you.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Missing HDRI Master Course Files
Updated the website with the widgets course. I think that was the only one missing so the collection is complete.
