Problems with the Forum
I seem to be having a problem with posting on the forum. I loose the forum when I try to post on some threads.
I also loose the Board colors at times. It goes back to the dark one.
The message comes after it closes down.
I do not loose my Internet connection.

Re: Problems with the Forum
Greetings,
I've had similar problems ("internal server error" message) a few times since moving to the new server but it is rare. Each time it happened, I just hit the refresh button on my browser (IE8) and the webpage came up fine. This has also worked for me when submitting a new post or editing an existing one---I got the "internal server error" message 3 or 4 times after I clicked "submit" and each time I was able to successfully submit the post or edits by clicking on the refresh button. Nothing was lost. However one time it resulted in a double-post. When that happened, I simply deleted the duplicate.
I've participated in a number of forums over the years and one thing I've learned to do whenever I'm working on a post that is more than a couple of lines long is to copy the text to the Windows Notepad before I submit the post. That way, if the site crashes, I don't lose the text and can return later to recreate the post.
Best regards, First Light

Re: Problems with the Forum
Where would you like us to send a report? To the "Forum Requests" forum or would you rather receive a PM?Prodigy wrote:Please guys report anytime you get the error...

Re: Problems with the Forum
yes i saw that too..
Seems the error occurs when you make a new post, move a thread, and upload some kind of attachments right?

Re: Problems with the Forum
Plus, it happens when you edit a post. That's what I was doing. I was adding information about the Indigo renderer to the "trueSpace FAQs" post and I got the error message when I clicked "submit" to enter the changes.
It seems to me that the problem can happen any time you ask the server to save something.

Re: Problems with the Forum
It happened again! But this time the "internal server error" popped up when I clicked on the "General Discussion" forum to enter it from the "Board Index". Nothing was being written to the server. It appears that the problem can happen any time.
