Snowy Evergreen's Christmas Adventure - very short film

Your ideas are wanted and welcome for this project.

It will have to be streamlined to be achievable and about two or three minutes long. This beginning is more brainstorming than a finished plan.

This is a Christmas movie intended as a video Christmas card for friends and family. Like this one (link) there will be a customized version for each recipient.

I'll do this using Blender.

SETTING

An elf named Snowy Evergreen is alone at the north pole Christmas village before Christmas. The gifts are all made so most elves have gone on vacation. Santa has flown the gifts and the sleigh to the Flying Reindeer Ranch in Idaho to hitch the full team of Reindeer for the delivery. The reindeer live there most of the year.

Snowy is an accountant or bookkeeper for Santa. He checks that the correct gift was prepared for each dear Santa letter. He discovers that one letter has a gift ready but it was not put into Santa's bag. Customization: this is the video recipient's gift of course. Snowy finds the letter and the gift and goes on an adventure to get the gift to Santa.

In this story the source of the magical power Santa and the elves use is the happy Christmas wishes people have for each other. The dear Santa letters represent this in the story. Since Snowy has the lost letter he has some amount of magic to animate toys, survive the arctic after leaving the protection of Christmas Village, and so forth.

BASIC STORY

Snowy takes the letter and the gift, animates a toy wagon, passes through the portal to this world *1 and flies toward the ranch *2. He overcomes a problem or two along the way, arrives at the ranch, sees the sleigh about to take off, chases it and (action sequence) leaps to put the gift in Santa's bag at the last moment.

During the flight the dear Santa letter blows out of his pocket removing the power of flight and he crashes near the ranch. Now without magic Snowy must find the gift, overcome some threat or obstacle, travel to the ranch on foot and deliver the gift to Santa before sleigh launch. He succeeds. Then a mysterious wind appears and returns the letter to Snowy.

(slow fade to/from black) The gift is seen under a Christmas tree. It's tag is customized to recipient-name from Santa.

(slow fade to/from black) Snowy and the wagon are seen on a tropical beach. He sleeps in a hammock between two palms with a hat over his face. In the foreground; on a rock, log, or table; the letter can be seen and read. It is from the video recipient asking Santa to bring his family and friends happiness.
