You can use HDRi, which is not in 4.3, etc. Yet the UI looks the same as 4.3 or you can easily customize it to look exactly like 4.3. I see no point in using old tS.

You must remember back then there were dozens of 3rd party plugins like bones, hair, and many others that could be used with that old version and also the
Pluspack1, Pluspack2, etc, which added even more functionality, and some of the best of them were incorperated into the 7.6 based program itself, and granted there are several things 7.6 does that the older versions do not, but in my case I found it difficult to relearn the newer interface, and also I would need a newer faster computer to keep up with the more robust software and heavier operating system, an added cost to me. I can whip along with fast renders on my old XP system. If you have the time to learn 7.6 and stick with it, you will create great things, as I said if you put in the time. Even with TS4.3 I will guess that I nearly had used half of its function even after many years.
Thanks

tS7.6 is made for WindowsXP. Also the UI is still the same, you can even customize it (i.e. delete new tools if that distracts you or move icons around), no need to relearn from what i remember. Most of the old plugins still work btw. The old tools are still there and works the same way. But its your choice.

Are you using the
tS76 Modelside Edition V2.1?
If so I am not familiar with that installation.
I do have Vray installed in tS76 and tS761 without any problems.
There is different versions for each.
You should have a VRay ReadMe.rtf and VRay.pdf file in your trueSpace directory and it shows you how to Install and Load the Vray_ts.rsx file in Workspace's Package Manager. Reboot trueSpace after you Load it.

This is the version I am using: tS76G3.

You are right, there is a readme file for Vray but it seems for Workspace (attach image).
I have to say the duplicate icons for both sides (workspace and modelside) seems confusing.
I do not have the icon Package Manager.

Looking at you previous picture, you will find the Package Manager in the bottom right toolbar.
With your left mouse button select and hold the (black icon - > C:\)
and select the Package Manager
Right click at the bottom of the text in the Package Manager and select Install New
Browse to find the Vray_ts.rsx in your trueSpace7.6 folder
Then Right click and select Load
