There was a $99.00 email offer for the first 99 customers, but I didn't read it until a day later, so didn't bother to try to get it for that price.

I guess nobody wants it anymore. That`s why they keep the price low ...

In a way I can see why Tiles.
No updates to documentation since version 4.0 I believe. After a user purchases video tutorials, the links to them don't work. Help is requested, but it appears there is no response; sometimes, after a long while, there is a response. Most help is acquired through user forums there.

At least, this is what I gather from reading the forums there.

Seems so. The software seems good, powerful, but maybe not intended for amateurs or less motivated hobbyists. The support and documentation is terrible. I hear they aren't friendly on the forums like setuptab either.

The UI is the most cruel thing i have ever seen, i see it even in front of Blender 2.49. You need a two sided tutorial to find out how to assign a texture.

And the biggest laugh was that the programmer didn`t know that an obj file is made of two parts. The *.obj part for the mesh data, and the *.mtl part for the material. Even pointing him to the specifications didn`t help here. So no wonder there`s no proper im- and export when the programmer even fails at the easiest file format. The support is also cruel. They simply left me alone with my pipeline problems. Well, yeah, there was the mail where i tried to explain the programmer how Obj is made, and what the mtl file is good for ...

My advice stays the same: keep your hands away :)
