Glad that you got work in CG. I'd like to know about prices too.

Good link spacekdet.
Pugman, I wish I could offer some tips on actual prices but I do not know myself.
However, I can suggest, for you to expect some negotiations.
You may say, the cost is: XYZ for this, that, and those.
They may respond by offering a lower value. So, just be prepared for that.

It may be worth checking what others charge for logo designs.
3dFrog has done some commercial work. A few others here have as well.

And, congratulations! :bananacheers:

rule no.1 aim for the highest price if they said lower then you can lower it without having your price too cheap or not right anymore (or i say anti labor practice)

I charge $10.00 per hour for the design of characters and logos.
While I do not tell the client it is $10.00 per hour I provide them with the total amount.
If you are asked to provide them with finished animation then the charge is $50.00 per finished 30 seconds.
Don't try and separate out the cost on the design for modeling and then one for texturing they will most likely turn you down.
Also if this is your first time doing work that you will get paid for you might consider going low if you feel that there is more work they will feed you in the future.
You want them to come back for more but at the same time you dont want to sell yourself short.

I found out from them want they were doing and what they wanted .
its only a couple of models ,I sent them a price list and some of my previous work,
they were very impressed and said they are trying to get into 3d more for there projects
and i am just what they need ,cool, so i said they can have this time the models for free
but next time they must pay, they were happy with that and said thay will definatly use me again
no probs

There you go, so now you have a new customer that will be calling you.
Thats how I got started by doing a few jobs free and then they came back for more.
Good job..

Few suggestions..

1) Try to find cost per hour..
2) Try to figure how many hours you will spend on that logo..

Here one logo cost about 100$ just to give you an idea, i assume there will cost 3 times more..

Tip: try to keep your work cheap so if your work is good and you have good price be sure they will recommend you for more work..

Also, have in mind to offer corporation identity, here means make logo, e-mail design, brochures, color schemes etc..

Good luck!
