Shadow problem with tree object in Workspace.

Post by Cellulo »

I try to learn the Workspace, but i found a problem, when i load the tree object from the library i can't find the way to have a proper shadow for the leaf, the shadow result is the square shape from the texture, i don't have the alpha texture (shapes of leaf) in the shadow, maybe i miss a setting.

Yeah... In the LE, you have 3 alpha options. Enabled, opaque and the other one. Two of these will affect alpha transparency.

Best to open up the material with LE and the work with it there.

I'll get to a computer and try show you specifically, if not the manual has info on it in the surfaces part! I think....

Use the material editor and pick the leaf. Then change Alpha test to Enable and set the AlphaTestValue to something like 0.1

or do the same thing via the link editor - go inside the tree, then Materials, then Material then select the TextureBumpAlpha, expand it and change the values.

Thanks Clintonman and Draise i forget to set AlphaTestValue to 0.100 now it's working. :bananacool2:

Edit: i have changed the map size of the light to 2048, the shadow of the leaf are more accurate.
