Free Particles Tutorial

Post by Draise »

This is a small experiment I did as I followed a tutorial on particles in Softimage. It's very easy, powerful and intuitive, also fast. The render was low quality, but between my machines it only took a few hours. Also, simulating is impeccably fast with ICE and all.

Here is the tutorial I followed, all free!

Neat. From the looks of it I wish every 3D app had some form of ICE.

I agree... I think TS had the concept of procedural animations and the likes of ICE using the LE, considering the nodes I saw (similar functions, data flow, etc to ICE and how it works)... but I guess now it's Softimage selling point in the industry.

You should check out Softimage 2013 and it's procedural crowd system in ICE!!! Incredible!
