Found this small tutorial/example of how to rig a Shape to a null position or object.
Using ICE, a very powerful node based system (similar to trueSpace's LE, just much better and solid) one can do a number of 3D functions typical to what Roman had in mind with the LE and it's script based system.
From making interactive crowds to interesting cloth simulations/hair/deformations/explostions/crowds and a number of other things, ICE is very powerful.
And... I don't know much of it yet, but this is a great start or beginning to see how to apply strong aspects of ICE into Softimage.
