Thanks Finis! Yes, the Cespian ships are inspired by dragonflies, butterflies and flying fish. (more or less anyway) Whereas the Lander/Coalition ships are more rugged, inspired by containers, cars and trucks. The Echron ships (like the Cruiser above) will be more sleek and aerodynamic, looking like birds and aeroplanes.
The pirate ships while be more of a mash-up of all of those.

I haven't come up with any designs for the Praat species, they should also get their own ship designs at some point.

Another thing that should help with ship identification are the faction logos which I haven't gotten round to designing yet.

All while still keeping that classic sci-fi look of course :)

Beautiful lines on those weapons..... they look like clean precision oriented tools.

Yeah! The demo went live on Steam for the Steam summer festival but it was a bit of a shaky launch to say the least. Now I'm working on setting up an IndieGoGo campaign to see if I can secure funding for the coming 6 months of development.
:bananatyping:
I may also be moving soon to Italy but that's somewhat unrelated, although it will impact development...

Thanks! I tried to go for that Starwarsy cold gunmetal feel. I think they turned out quite well =) Could maybe be a bit more detailed though.

i dont watch starwars, but i think they look a bit retro, yet still belonging to future.

@Steinie Thanks! They're modelled in trueSpace and rendered in BlenderForArtists. The first render is Cycles render engine and the rest are in the Eevee render engine.
