tnx for the comments guys, appreciate it... most of these had sparked tons of more ideas that I could do, but the time factor is the problem

Most were done speed modeling style, least texturing effort and poly geometry, except the MAV-P1a... did several layers with bumpmaps to get that effect... one of my better moments in texturing which I still need a lot of training and practice in... the MAV series vehicles are all part of my HMN scifi short stories series I'm busy with, only done the first chapter so far with a series of images to illustrate the story, kind of like an illustrated comic/graphic novel... would like to get it going again...
the sand puppy is also one of my favorites and also inspired by the multi mode designs of the MAV... high speed vs rough terrain capable... with a twist in that it looks kind of like a puppy face
