all three are looking awesome but i like the top one most for some reason, looks a little more personal and a less 'staged' camera angle perhaps...

rather have the light source on the right side.

Sherlock Holmes would be proud!

The modeling and textures are great!

Hee hee! You're a clever dick, Steinie! :D

I think the writer wrote to his wife. It has a picture on his right hand. so the lighting is left to illuminate the picture and avoid the shadow of the photo on the paper. But i can't confirm without the reflexion of the right hand on the glass and metal.

I like 3 then 1 ... just a thought if you rendered the chair in the background of number 1 I think it would compliment the piece nicely.

Spacekdet you are right, but I don't know how to do it I've tried material rectangle but I can't figure out. Any help will be welcome. It's just a fast scene would be perfect if I have more time, but I have to finish others ongoing WIPs..

Thanks v3rd3 maybe I could try that...

Marcel is right I'll post one more image with all the upgrades that people are talking about... And the photo of his wife

Thanks

I am partial to the first one. I like the overall feel and the viewing angle of the image along with the soft lighting. These are my favorite kinds of scenes. Not overly complex but there is a lot that can be done with just a good camera angle and lighting.
