Re: CHALLENGE_Up There
I like the last two but I am not sure what the first one is saying. It appears that someone is replacing a truck tire?

Re: CHALLENGE_Up There
I want it, but it might have to be a one evening/one morning type job.
Re: CHALLENGE_Up There
@Steinie - first one... guy looks up at his birthday gift from his wife (the monster truck) - keys in hand.
"Thanks hunny, but, how do i get 'up there'"?

Drew them in the order I thought of them. I 'feel' the first one so will go with that. Starting with figuring out a tire tread. Haven't tried to do a truck yet.
I like realism but, I hear ya Draise. Hopefully 'Basic' will work. This one's abt the concept so will use my basic flexrig guy and model what I need of the truck.

Working out the basics
Re: CHALLENGE_Up There
Thanks guys.
The whole thing so far is with no references, but I think that tread would work for real.
Was going to a car show today with the idea to see what real monster truck treads are like but it got rained out.
Starting to figure out camera angle. What do you folks think of this one?
He's looking up at the door handle.
In the second pic - here's how I started the tread (blue represents how I started) EDIT: Above is misleading. The verts were selected as in the below pic, and turned to create the twists in the tread. Then I selected specific faces and extruded outwards for the actual tread.

Re: CHALLENGE_Up There
This is how far 'up there' I got. I must say, while doin' this buggy, I got a real hankerin' to see how well it would ... jump, crash, crush... you know, boy stuff with big toys kinda thing.
