Re: Roller Coaster
Just RGB for red, green, blue. If you want transparency, you'd have to render out as *.png sequences and turn on Film>TransparentFinis wrote: ↑31 Oct 2017, 00:21 Draise to the rescue! Denoiser, yes. For finished products I'll do stills like you said. Videos for tests. So that's mpeg4 and h.264 on the Render Panel - Encoding section. What about the thing in the Output section next to BW/RGB? What would you select there for video file output?
I do prefer working in Bforartists myself, it's way quicker to learn and use than Blender (because it's less confusing with all the double entries everywhere in the original Blender).

Re: Roller Coaster
New track for the Tornado Coaster. https://vid.me/beT4d That's Blender Render. About 40 minutes. I discovered opengl animation render on the 'render' menu (top of screen near 'file'). That rendered in 5 minutes. Good for these quick tests. I'll use this type of viewpoint instead of the typical first person view. First person doesn't show off the track well.
Thanks Draise. I meant the thing to the left of BW/RGB in the Output section where you can select avi, xvid, mpeg etc. I picked mpeg there, mpeg4 and h.264 in the Encoding section. Vidme was happy with that. I think the troublesome video Vidme didn't like was due to non-square pixels. It had numbers other than 1 in the aspect ratio boxes.
Thanks Pugman. I'm not using VSE though. Hitfilm Express is better for me for a finished product. For simple test renders like above I want it directly from the main part of Blender. No editing. I did use VSE for this https://vid.me/2jge.

Re: Roller Coaster
I want to work on this and learn more Blender but too much real world stuff again.
Edit: Steinie wrote "I kind of wished the roller coaster entry was entered too." Proceed without me. I'll keep doing this project but it will be too long until I have anything worthy to enter.
