I thought I would post a couple of rendering test done playing with Das_Studio. These were done a few months ago and I kinda lost interest
in experimenting and working on them anymore. It was just trying to learn and I lost interest. Rendering done with IRay

Re: god ray and fog
I don't really remember but I think it was about 20 to 25 minutes. I not only was testing god rays and fog but also my new video card.
Its a nvida geforce gtx 1050 with 6 GB of ram.
I was also following a youtube video tutorial in which you create cylinder and apply a materiel setting to the cylinder to get the effect.
Modeling was all done in truespace except for the warrior figure and exported as an object and then imported into dazStudio.
All Materials of course are IRay dazStudio.

Re: god ray and fog
I went back and re rendered the scene to see how long it really took and to fully complete it took 1 hour and 14 minutes.
I have also attached a render showing progress after 25 minutes for reference.
