god ray and fog

Post by FHembree »

I thought I would post a couple of rendering test done playing with Das_Studio. These were done a few months ago and I kinda lost interest
in experimenting and working on them anymore. It was just trying to learn and I lost interest. Rendering done with IRay :|

I don't really remember but I think it was about 20 to 25 minutes. I not only was testing god rays and fog but also my new video card.
Its a nvida geforce gtx 1050 with 6 GB of ram.
I was also following a youtube video tutorial in which you create cylinder and apply a materiel setting to the cylinder to get the effect.
Modeling was all done in truespace except for the warrior figure and exported as an object and then imported into dazStudio. :)
All Materials of course are IRay dazStudio.

I went back and re rendered the scene to see how long it really took and to fully complete it took 1 hour and 14 minutes.
I have also attached a render showing progress after 25 minutes for reference.
