Re: Above the Sky
good start Parva! i like the earth. I remember to try an old version of terragen. it seem the soft are better now or maybe it is only your talent. I'll try it again. I am waiting to the textures of the shuttle. The "brick bump' need to be less regular with some drawing. but i know it is not finished.

Re: Above the Sky
Parva,
Awesome work as usual. I agree about the tile work being too
regular.
Do you belong to a SciFi fan club/forum somewhere?
Thanks for the headsup
about SILO 2.2beta.

Re: Above the Sky
Terragen clouds are still the best
It took some time until I found out how to do planetary clouds
but he camera projection mapping is very helpful here.
A second camera projects the clouds layer image where you want it.
Yes the brick-look is regular intentionally
(in this case I want it more organized instead of "patchwork" tiling)
but I will reduce the bump strength.
It's just an additionally armor plate for the upper section.
I was member of the Scifi Meshes forum but that was ages ago.

Hey! I like it!!
Re: Above the Sky
thanks, I made some changes to the final image.
So I needed to rerender the planet from another point of view.
Now the image above isn't used anymore but if anyone can use it,
I give it for free to use.

Re: Above the Sky
Very nice. Love the detail on the ship and the view from space. I just cannot even begin to imagine the time it would take a part timer like me to generate the kind of detail that is here. Really love your work.
