Layered colors and layered displacements inside tS6 ?

Post by Cellulo »

I have begin to read the tutorial "Surfacing the tadpole" from the book "tS3&4 creature creations", but i don't find the "layered colors" or "layered displacements" shaders inside tS6, i know this tutorial is for tS4 but there is equivalent way to make this tutorial part inside tS6 (modelside) ?

Right-click the material preview window. There should be an option for "Add new layer".

Just add different displacement (and/or color and reflectance) on each layer.
You can mix them with 0-100% slider using 'constant alpha' or use an image for 'mask alpha'
This layering system is what I miss the most in tS7.
