Is there a way already in TS6.6 or a plugin that lets you select everything on a layer for editing purposes.
So it would go maybe like this: click a button, select a layer and then all the objects on that layer are now selected.
Selection by Layer?
Re: Selection by Layer?
Yes, using Clinton's "Layers3 for trueSpace7.61"

Re: Selection by Layer?
I don't think there is a way to do that in modelside.

There is a tool in RSLayers.tsx to select the content of a layer.Rhino169 wrote:Is there a way already in TS6.6 or a plugin that lets you select everything on a layer for editing purposes.

RSLayers is THE must have plugin, to manage layers, show, hide, set visibility mode, move all lights to a layer, and more ! Its interface is great also, with a visibility/transparency option !
BTY, I tried to get in touch with the programmer, Riccardo Scanu to see if he would share the source code on DD's new forum. But there is no reply.
That's sad because RSLayers is made in Delphi and its interface is completely integrated into tS's style. It would be nice to know the how-to...
Note that you can also move a selection to a layer and be sure all the objects from that selection (even sub-objects) will be moved to the new layer. TrueSpace's native layers managment don't handle that.
Here is this great plugin :
