Moving on to Solidworks

Well, its been a very strange year and recently I found myself leaving teaching after 23 years and returning to industry as a furniture designer. I still love TS and use it for my blog/book illustrations but it just doesnt cut it in the industrial production pipeline so I am currently training in the use of Solidworks. I have to say that its a great piece of software but the move from solid/surface modelling to parametric is quite a jolt. Still, enjoying learning new software especially given how its so prevalent in the UK.

Solidworks is awsome since you can alter the output at any stage...!
Its also an industry standard and will stay...!
Look into moi! Its like a little sister to solidworks and is compatible
since its also cad....its like the Sketchup sister to it!

I love Solidworks. I use it everyday, as I am a industrial designer for Altec. This program can do it all. Just takes a bit to get used to.
