FREE Unity Mobile Publishing!

Post by Délé »

Hey guys,

Just a heads up. Unity Android and iOS Basic licenses are currently FREE now through April 8th! So you could get the basic version of Unity AND publish to Android and iOS, all for free. The iOS and Android licenses are normally $400 each, so it's a pretty good deal. Plus, you'll still get the discounted prices should you choose to upgrade these to PRO sometime in the future. ;)

https://store.unity3d.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

p.s. You do need a Mac to publish to iOS due to the iOS terms of service.

EDIT: This offer has given me a warm fuzzy feeling, so from now until April 8th I will give any member of these forums a free Unity gift that will allow you to create slick 3d galleries for your website or mobile devices to show off your work! PM me on the forums here using the subject "Free Gallery" for a download link. ;) This month is going to be quite busy for me, so please be patient about a reply. I will reply as soon as I get a chance, I promise.

In light of UT's special offer, I have decided that from now until April 8th I will give any member of these forums a free gift to use with Unity! See original post for details. ;)

Does anyone know what you have to buy and how much it costs to purchase the programs necessary to be part of the apple developer program? Excluding the intel mac running osx snow leopard minimum of course... :mrgreen:

I think it's just $99/year to publish to the app store. As far as I'm aware anyway. I don't have a Mac yet, so I've not explored that market much.

Very good timing on this, thank you Dele. I was looking into an engine for an Android app I am thinking about, I could not find any info on a Unity version so UDK was the next idea. I'll play around in Unity now though :) thanks for the heads up and link.

Of course, after I downloaded the link, I found there are 750,000 others who have Unity.

Scripting makes me go cross-eyed, but I do like the idea of making my own little world to live in.

Thanks for the headsup.
