Query on Stage Building 7.61 B8 One at a Time Style...

Hello...

I tried 2 years ago to install the FULL-PACKED 7.61 Model-Work 1 GB monster on 3 machines & after some time spent found it laggy-freezy-crashy

So pretty much gave up hope... Recently installed the basic unit AS IT COMES FROM THIS LINK-

Wow, what a difference, not laggy, not freezy and only seemed to crash when i do stupid button punching.

OK, Question is NOW....In order to build on this gradually, bit by bit, What would be the logical order of stuff to install? One of the unofficial updates? Some of Clinton Reese's packs?

Don't be afraid to express yourself as if I am an IDIOT! In other words don't assume I know trueSpace AT ALL!

Size: 126 MB (132,872,499 bytes)

What OS will you be using for trueSpace 7.61 Beta 8?
What DX version are you using?
What video card are you using?

Do you prefer Model (tS6.7) or Workspace (tS7.61) when modeling and or rendering?

When you minimize trueSpace 7.61 Beta 8, does the toolbars show on your Desktop?

I was talking about the version that I got from the Flat2D site which was pretty much topped with stuff...What was it now...a 400 mb install with a 900-1000 mb program directory?

Anyways using windows XP SP3 mostly dual cores mostly 4 GB RAM Mostly Nvidia-GMA cards mostly 500-1gb video RAM

I am most interested in the workspace aspect but like the combo...The direct-x aspect of tS 7.61 is a turn-on...

Speaking of that I run Direct-X 9 as up to date as it can get...

Oh, and NO, the toolbars do not show on the desktop when tS 7.61 is minimized...

Just to clarify, are you using tS761 Beta 8 without anything else installed?
IE: The Unofficial Update or plugins for Model (tsx) and or Workspace (rsx)?

From what I understand from long time users with lots of experience, that prefer Model over Workspace, tS7.6 is their choice.
For one the Bridge that connects Workspace with Model does not work in tS761 which can corrupt your RsScn(s).

That is correct...I am using the version without so much as a molecule added...virginal.

I don't know much about bridge settings yet but as seen here I can have modelside window open inside workspace & use either-or & is updating in the one view NOT being used...very cool. Subdivided 2 objects up to have @ 40,000 polys still very fluid unless I pick a custom light to put in scene...

OK, Well I got V-Ray installed & working....Extracted from the massive package of flat2d, extracted necessary files & added in package manager so far so good...

As I understand it, from what I read, that is for tS7.6
There is a Vray version for tS76 and another for tS761
