I have Windows 8 and the PLE version of Vue 11 infinite and get the warning message on start up.

I put in a mountain scene to render and it worked. I guess contact EON to find out what's up.

The message suggests you might look at whatever equivalent of task manager win8 has and look for vue processes that are still running. Then shut down and restart and look to see if process is a service run on startup. If so, then manually stop that process before you launch vue normally.

Here is the answer to the prob .
Hi Ralph,

With Vue closed, browse to the c:/ProgramData/e-onsoftware/Vue 11 Infinite/Updates folder. This is a hidden directory so you need to have the option to view hidden files and folders turned on in Windows Folder Options.

In that folder you should find the update file that you can run manually to update the software. Then, delete or rename the 'archive.update' file.
Now, you should be able to start Vue without a problem. Let me know if you are still having problems.

Best regards.
Lee Randall
And it worked
Cheers Ralph
