Hey Ralph. I read some reviews previously, when I was preparing to build a new system. It turns out that for this FX generation, AMD uses the term 'core' a bit loosely.
According to at least one review, some components traditionally part of each core are not there.
It may be worth checking some reviews for this.
I ended up going with a previous generation CPU, a AMD Phenom II X6.

Gamiing pc

Post by pugman 1 »

OK. i have decided to build this,
NZXT Phantom Big-Tower case white to match my other pc
Asrock z77 pro4 mother board older but still good
i7 3770k a bit to much but what the hell why not
16gig corsair vengence 1600
corsair 580 fully modular power suply
i will put in my asus hd7970 matrix 3gig .awsome graffics.
I thought about the h100i but i looked at the test results on this and my cheap artic cooler 13
has the same results give or take a couple of degrees. so why give out over 100 euros when 23 euro cooler
does the job just fine.
And win 8 pro.
