Crash when save : problem solved ( tS modelside)

Post by marcel »

Hi ! Maybe my problem solved can help some of you

The problem under seven:
When I save my scene from modelside, trueSpace crash and I have to stop the process.

Problem identification:
At the location of the file written, I see my new scene with the extension tmp. This file is a copy of the new scene. trueSpace renames the old scene with bak extension and rename the tmp file with the extension scn. It seems that trueSpace crash before renaming the file tmp.

Troubleshooting:
Preference / Backups: choose 0. You can save the scene without problem. (It is possible to use "save as" to get copies of a WIP).

Thanks for this trick.

I've got an other one : If you get a crashing message during a modeler session you will probably loose your scene if you try to save it in the usual way. So, in the crashing message, choose the option to save a crash report, then when that dialog box is still open, use Modeler's Scene Library to save your scene. Now you can let trueSpace crash completely : you will be able to reload the scene through the Library :)
