Pictures shows how sometimes the edge visibility can get messy and how it should look. Attached is a fix.
Unzip and load the Perspective2 and loadButton objects.
Select the Perspective2 and run the loadButton script.
Right click the new perspective button and the Eye Camera panel will show in the Panel tab.
Change the Clipping Near to a higher value and the edge visibility problem is gone.

It would be better to change the default from 0.1 to something like 1 or 10 but I don't know how to do that.

Edit: Just noticed that a value of 10 messed up the view widget. So I'll recommend a value of less than 4.

I wasn't planning on working on this until tomorrow night, but I had an idea. Attached is the new improved version of the edge visibility script now called the nearClipping Control script. It loads with the push of one button and creates 2 buttons in the toolbar. The first button is the perspective button with a right click function to reset the near clip value. Left click retains the near clip values set. The second button is left click to increase the near clipping plane value and right click to decrease it. The control value ranges from 1 to 10 and is indicated in the status line. If you use the Maya style navigation the speed changes with the near clipping plane distance. Small values make it slower and larger values make it faster. I'll include the maya style background navigation loader in the zip file.

Update for this on my website.
Near Clipping Plane Control
http://www.clintons3d.com/plugins/trues ... index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

new version 1.5 will work with multiple 3D views and it will adjust scene cameras as well. Button only uses left click action to increase the value to a maximum then cycles around to the minimum value.
