Here some 3dsmax plugins source code made by Peter Watje, maybe someone can be ported-compiled in tsx file for trueSpace modelside:

For example, we can rename the *.dlo plugin file in "*.dll" file to open it in resource hacker tool and see the UI of the plugin.

The hair max plugin seem powerful, lots of features.

I know 3dsmax have his own SDK, but maybe there is some coding tips to help making tsx plugin.
