Problems with clothing in tS 7.6

I just can't figure out how to get the cloth attributes working.
Every time I put a plane object on the scene (in Workspace View), add the cloth attributes for it and activate the phisics engine.
The problem is that the plane doesn't behave like a cloth.
How can I solve this?
