First impression is wifi speakers but there is a hinge at the top. Second impression is stylish water heaters ... but hinge at the top and the crinkle paint surface would be very rough at that size.
How big are they? The hinge looks appropriate for a small item not a water heater size item. From the crinkle paint scale looks like they are about a foot (30.5 cm) tall plus or minus a good bit.
The two dots and a plus markings could be decorative, informative, or functional. If functional then at least the dots could be buttons to push. If the plus is informative then there is probably a minus. Since the objects open on their hinges into two halves the other (non plus) half probably has two dots and a minus.
Opens into a plus half and a minus half, about a foot tall, needs at least two button controls. Hmm.
I'll guess they are portable wireless speakers or other sound related devices.

Re: Steinie's U3DA Game "What is it?"
I like this game. Thanks for starting this Steinie.
It is obviously not a machine that makes Viagra.
- The, ahem, dangly thing, is probably a handle. If so then that indicates its size.
- The tip of the handle, the bottom of the fin to the right and the enclosure on the left look like they would allow the object to sit on a flat surface. Maybe it should be upright when stored.
- There may be two gears which indicates that at least two parts inside rotate.
- There is a box on the nearest part on the left. There may be one on the right also. They don't seem useful for structural strength so they have a function. Do they hold something that is made or something that is used?
- There is a rectangular opening on the top between the two round things inside. Something goes in or comes out there.
- There is a tab at the base of the handle possibly used to remove the handle.
- The object is asymmetrical having a large side and a small side. A large gear and a small gear would increase power or speed depending on which gear is turned.
- What powers the rotating parts?
- It looks like it is made to be portable.
Since there is little room to store anything made or material to make something from. The round items inside could be like spools. There could be line or string on one and it works like a fishing reel.
I'll guess that it is a dispenser for string or ribbon, since the opening is rectangular, that works like a fishing reel.

Although everyone's guess was close to mine for obvious reasons ,
Finis came real close to the answer.
