Wooden wheels were generally made in sections. (Not sure about egyptians) The rim of the wheel would be in sections covering maybe 2 spokes to each section. The ends of each section would be joined using a type of mortise and tenon joint. Once assembled a metal rim just smaller than the outer circu...

Well here's the update I promised earlier. I think this ones a bigger clue to where I'm going with this.

The pistons are not attached at the moment. (that's the next job)

Thanks for the kind comments and welcome backs. (glad to see I'm still remembered) I like the bump map. Maybe other bump map on the head and the arms? This is just an early WIP there will definitely be bump maps and textures galore. :D I like the wheels - they make me think of a Traction Engine! ki...
