Re: Happy Birthday Finis

Thanks!

I went hiking. Wild horses couldn't keep me from enjoying my birthday. They added enjoyment to it.

Re: My New WIP: Pumpkin Porch

I think, not sure, that life size scenes do better with volumetrics. That is, set the world and object units to to realistic ones. Don't make an 8 foot tall wall as 8 units high when the units are miles or points or meters. Another way to speed up test renders is to use draft antialiasing. In TS 5 t...

Re: Physics properties

The TS units measure how how much energy is conserved in a collision. 100% would mean that the total energy in the colliding objects is equal before and after a collision although it is probably distributed differently among them. 50% means that half the energy was wasted. In practice, objects in TS...

Re: Low end 3D software for hobbyists?

Rayman, as we all know, uses a vast arsenal of programs and likes Silo ($159 pro version) and Moi 3D ($195) for modeling. I think Steinie has Silo too. Using several affordable programs together could be something for hobbyists. Not as convenient as a jack-of-all-trades program though.
