Re: Deep Space Doris
Ok guys, need a bit of help with this one. Doris is going episodic; like a comic book with a bit added regularly. What I want to do, rather than just have a picture and text on the screen is to reveal parts of the book slowly. Maybe timed, maybe by clicking. So, for example, you get a picture of Dor...

Re: 3D World Issue 119
I agree Steinie and 3D artist has so much more art and tutorials. They just don't seem to nail the 'big' features though. 3D World has had exclusive Pixar covers and an interview with Pixar followed by ILM; two of my all time heros of the CGI/Effects genre. I am just trying to reduce my magazines wh...

Re: 3D World Issue 119
Nothing but I just saved a few quid on the 3D Artist subscription. To be honest, if you are in the UK and you see either on the newstand, then it is a no brainer to pick them both up. I just post the 'reviews' for the benefit of anyone wanting to import them at much greater cost. To me, 3D artist is...

Dribble
Hi there, is any proud owner of Dribble able to send me the link to the download page or te install file itself. I bought it and had to rebuild my PC today and cannot find it. I emailed Simon but I am not sure if he is still supporting this. Any long term tS users know I have had Dribble since day o...

3D World Issue 119
Again, a good issue and the final push I needed to cancel my subscription to 3D Artist. Lots of content, good artwork and making it three in a row; letter of the month is an 'obiturary' regarding tS from none other than Tom Grimes. The makes me, Paul Boland (long time but ex-tS user) and Tom. Hell, ...

Re: 3D Artist Issue 4
Yeah, I gotta remember to cancel the 'real' subscription before they take the quarterly charge. It does work out cheap but, as I said, this is the first month I saw real 'clashes' between the two mags and I have 3D World since issue 1 so, by default, I would keep collecting that one. Plus Jim Thacke...

Re: 3D Artist Issue 4
Hands down, 3D artist wins on artwork. At times it looks like a Ballistic book with all the lovely full page stuff. I just can't justify buying two mags with such similar themes and content. By default I keep with 3D World after collecting all 118 issues...maybe I can pick up the other mag as and wh...

3D Artist Issue 4
I am going to continue the mag review threads on this forum. Can't see the point in duplicating and who knows when that one will close. Anyway, a few things prompt me in this latest issue to stop subscribing. Remember that I got three issues for £1 and this is the las tof them so I am basing my thou...
