Unity VS truePlay
Hey guys, 3DVD told me about the Unity game engine about a month ago and I just wanted to spread the word. I know that there is a thread in the Game Engine topic, but Unity is really more than a game engine. It's almost everything that I wanted tP to be. They have a free webplayer that allows you to...

Re: 3DVISUALSDUDE IS OK?
I ran into him about a month ago on Keneva when I was checking out other virtual worlds. He seemed to be doing well, though we really didn't talk much. He did tell me about Unity. I've REALLY been getting into that ever since, so I owe him a big thanks for that lead! :bananacool2: I'll create anothe...

What Might Have Been
Hey guys, I was searching the net for virtual worlds to see if there was anything new, and I came across this: http://virtual.mtv.com/homepage/ I'm sure that most of you are aware that Caligari always had secret projects going on behind the scenes. Some of which I was lucky enough to be a part of. S...

Re: Weird Jobs
I had one VERY strange job, that I probably shouldn't publicly talk about...but it's all over now I think, so it should be alright. I'm not using names though. ;) A friend of mine got me into an art gallery kind of place. I thought it was just selling paintings in the store, but it turned out it was...

Re: The "You are missed" thread
I figure I'd better post here before I end up on one of those "wanted" posters. :P It's good to see everyone is still very active here. It's REALLY cool to see shared spaces up and running again. Are there regular meetings? I'll have to see what you mad scientists have been up to lately. :...

I agree, it's looking good Jeff. Did you rig and animate him in tS also? Did you use the new IK2 in the 7.61 release?

Re: Living Room Scene
Thanks Jack. I had tried increasing the shadow samples before and Vray hung. It seems to hang quite a lot. Your suggested settings did render though and was a bit better, but I couldn't really get rid of the grain. Even with some messing around. I did a little test with Yafaray, and got better resul...

Living Room Scene
Hey guys, I'm putting together a simple living room scene. I still have a couple of objects to add yet, and still have to do the texturing. I was starting to fiddle with the lighting though. I'm having trouble getting it to look good with Vray. I tried putting an area light outside the window and I ...
